I was approached by Lasu a UK fashion mobile commerce startup company to design an iOS app for them. They wanted a minimal, simplistic and clear UI which takes inspiration from other fashion mobile app’s and the websites of the stores they showcase on their “Digital High Street”; they also specifically requested the UI to be inspired by VSCO.

The stores that trade via Lasu take great care in their product photography, and so I decided to make this the main focus of the UI, not only because each product has been photographed beautifully, but I felt that the items should speak for themselves.

The main selling point of Lasu is that it is a digital representation of your fashion high street. And so you have the ability to add/remove stores via the edit pencil icon in the top right.

The product view screen takes full advantage of the iPhone retina screen with a beautiful crisp product shot, with the essential information available at the bottom, brand, description, price.

Like VSCO, I have used very simple and elegant iconography throughout the UI. There is a subtle ellipsis icon at the bottom to give the user more actions and information over the product.
